    From its upgraded heavy-duty roof rails to its new 17-inch matte black-finish alloy wheels and Bridgestone Dueler™ all-terrain tires, every part of the 2026 Outback Wilderness is engineered to discover what’s at the other end of the trail. New for 2026, the Outback Wilderness features electronically controlled dampers for improved traction and ride comfort. Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive works together with the standard 260-horsepower direct-injection turbocharged SUBARU BOXER engine and enhanced dual-function X-MODE® to create reliable traction in all kinds of conditions. With 9.5 inches of ground clearance and a standard front skid plate, the Outback Wilderness is protected from obstacles on the trail.

    Powerful Protective Design

    The Outback Wilderness has always turned heads with its unique, trail-tough looks. For 2026, it’s completely redesigned for even more protective style with new modern body architecture and new grille and headlights. Inside the roomy, comfortable interior, there’s durable StarTex® upholstery, all-weather floor mats, a new digital instrument cluster, and a new 12.1-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ integration. Nappa leather-trimmed upholstery and ventilated front seats are also now available. Active safety systems like standard EyeSight® Driver Assist Technology have been enhanced for 2026 and calibrated to match the extensive off-road upgrades on the Outback Wilderness.
