SiriusXM

All SiriusXM-equipped new Subaru vehicles come with a four-month trial subscription. Select newer models are equipped with SiriusXM with 360L. With the SiriusXM trial subscription, get access to all your favorite entertainment from SiriusXM to enjoy in your vehicle. Outside the vehicle, use the SiriusXM app, which includes ad-free music and talk, sports, comedy, news, podcasts, and more. You can also unlock exclusives on the SiriusXM app that bring you closer to your favorite stars, artists, creators, and athletes.

Climate Settings

Intelligent Assistant

Intelligent Assistant combines the native on-board assistant voice command functions with off-board cloud computing. The result is a natural and easy-to-use voice vehicle interaction experience. Intelligent Assistant allows you to control the multimedia system with voice commands. It also allows you to operate cloud navigation, integrated streaming, radio, phone, and climate. Simply say “Hey, Subaru” or “OK, Subaru” to get started.

Subaru Solterra Connect is the shared name for the infotainment system, the telematics system, and the mobile app, providing a seamless experience for Solterra owners whether driving or away from the vehicle.

Solterra Connect provides you with connected safety, security, and convenience features for your Solterra SUV. Solterra Connect uses a nationwide AT&T 4G LTE cellular network (where available) and is highly integrated with your smartphone device by leveraging the Solterra Connect mobile app. 

With Solterra Connect, you can:

  • Receive automatic emergency assistance in the event of a collision
  • Receive assistance in the event your vehicle is stolen
  • Remotely access vehicle features
  • Monitor the status of your vehicle’s health
  • Use cloud-based navigation services and have access to an Intelligent Assistant

Solterra owners will use the Subaru Solterra Connect mobile app, which is available in Apple and Google app stores. Only a Solterra vehicle identification number (VIN) can be used in the Solterra Connect mobile app. All other Subaru models will continue to use the MySubaru mobile app.

If you own a Solterra and another Subaru model, you will use two different apps for their connected services: the Solterra Connect mobile app for your Solterra and the MySubaru mobile app for your other vehicle(s).

Solterra Connect is an opt-out service as opposed to STARLINK Safety and Security packages, which are opt-in. Certain system functions are active and operational once the vehicle is started for the first time. To activate all of the Solterra Connect services, you will need to download the Solterra Connect mobile app, pair your smartphone with your Solterra from inside the vehicle, create a user profile, and complete the registration process.

To determine phone compatibility with the Solterra Connect mobile app, please refer to the Apple or Google app stores.  

Here are the steps for registration:

  • Sit in the Solterra vehicle.
  • Follow the directions on the head unit.
  • Enter your mobile phone number.
  • A message will be sent to your mobile phone with a link to download the Subaru Solterra Connect mobile application from the Apple or Google app stores. (device-dependent).
  • Once you have downloaded the app, open it and create your Solterra Connect account.
  • Within the app, follow the instructions provided onscreen to add the vehicle by scanning the in-vehicle QR code located on the head unit or by requesting and entering the code manually.
  • Follow the instructions within the Solterra Connect mobile app to complete user profile creation.
  • Accept the Master Data Consent and Subaru Service Connect Communication terms to start using Connected Services.
  • You will also be prompted to pair your phone to the vehicle via Bluetooth and you can choose to connect your device to the vehicle via Bluetooth and set up Apple CarPlay/Android Auto.

Solterra Connect is an opt-out service, meaning that certain system functions by default are turned on automatically.
