When Travis Pastrana needed a car to take the world’s largest automotive viral video franchise to the next level - and break hillclimb records in the process - we delivered the Airslayer, the wildest WRX STI ever built. The Gymkhana 2020 STI starts from a production Subaru shell but shaves over 800 pounds from a stock STI’s curb weight, with a fully caged interior and all-carbon body. The 2.3L billet SUBARU BOXER engine produces 862hp, while the long-travel suspension is designed to take the punishment of huge jumps and still execute precision tire-shredding slides. The aero package is wind tunnel-proven to deliver downforce at high speed while an active rear wing allows Pastrana to adjust the car’s attitude in midair.

Brandon is internationally recognized and acclaimed as one of the best freeride mountain bikers in the world, and has exhibited his talents through film, competition, and on various media outlets. Although he is known to millions of fans as a groundbreaking talent on a bike, Brandon has more recently become a rising star in North American rally.
A native of British Columbia, Semenuk has been putting his mark on rally in the U.S. and Canada since 2010. Rapidly progressing from a WRX to a WRX STI and then to a Subaru Canada-supported Crosstrek rally car, Semenuk has secured five Canadian Rally Championship (CRC) event wins and a pair of North American Rally Cup (NARC) titles.
In 2020, Brandon joined Subaru Motorsports USA with an impressive debut podium finish at the Southern Ohio Rally. His success continued in 2020 where he finished on the podium at the remaining five ARA rounds including netting his first ARA win at the Show-Me Rally in Missouri. In 2021, Semenuk finished third overall in the ARA Driver’s Championship with a win at the last round of the season, the Oregon Trail Rally. Semenuk earned his first ARA Driver’s Championship in 2022 after a hard fought season against his rivals, earning four wins and securing the title on the final round of the season. He then defended his crown in 2023 with a ‘perfect season,” winning all eight rounds of the ARA series and dominating the competition.
Just like his teammate Travis Pastrana, Semenuk’s developing rally career hasn’t meant slowing down on two wheels. Brandon remains a top-level freeride MTB athlete when not in the rally car and secured his fourth career Red Bull Rampage victory in 2021. His lifetime accolades also include three FBM World Tour overall championships and five total Red Bull Joyride wins, making him one of the most decorated freeride MTB athletes in history.
Outside of rally and MTB, Brandon enjoys photography and features much of his work on his social media pages. He also stars in the multi-million-view Raw100 video series produced by Red Bull and his production house Revel Co., combining his interests to break new ground in both MTB stunts and videography.

Travis Pastrana candidly refers to rallying as “motocross with a rollcage!” and has driven a Subaru rally car from day one of his career in the sport. He dominated rallying in the U.S. from 2006-2009, winning four consecutive championships with Subaru Rally Team USA after switching his focus from Freestyle Motocross (FMX). After a hiatus which included a stint in NASCAR, Pastrana rejoined Subaru in 2014 to compete in partial seasons as his busy schedule allowed.
In 2017 Pastrana returned to compete full-time in the inaugural American Rally Association (ARA) championship. He traded wins with teammate David Higgins over the six-round series and they battled closely through the last event at the Ojibwe Forest Rally. In the end, Pastrana edged out his longtime mentor and was crowned the 2017 ARA champion, sealing his fifth national rally title.
In 2021, Pastrana partnered with Rhianon Gelsomino, a talented co-driver from Australia with extensive experience. Together the duo earned four event wins and two second place finishes. They mathematically sealed the championship at Ojibwe Forests Rally in Minnesota before the season ended at Oregon Trail Rally and were crowned 2021 ARA National Champions.
Fast, fearless and able to memorize complex sequences of corners, Pastrana also has excelled in hill climb competition. In 2017 he conquered New Hampshire’s Mt. Washington Hillclimb, setting a stunning new record in the process. The Mt. Washington Auto Road is one of the most challenging race venues in the country—steep, narrow, uneven and with precipitous drops—and offers a contrast to the wider, smoother roadway up Colorado’s Pikes Peak. Driving a 600-horsepower Vermont SportsCar-prepared WRX STI, Pastrana blitzed the 7.6-mile climb in 5 minutes 44 seconds and broke the previous record - held by his mentor David Higgins - by more than 20 seconds. For context - it takes an average driver approximately 30 minutes to drive the road.
In 2021, he smashed his own record by 18 seconds with a time of 5 minutes 26 seconds in the fully bespoke, 862-horsepower Vermont SportsCar prepared Subaru WRX “Airslayer STI” that was originally built for the Gymkhana Video released in 2020. After his accomplishment in New Hampshire, Pastrana and the Airslayer were honorably invited to the Goodwood Festival of Speed and finished second place at the well-known Hillclimb at the estate in England.
Before his successful career in stage rally, Travis Pastrana was already a legend in motocross. His two-wheeled career began at the age of four with a one-speed 50cc dirt bike, and before long Travis was hammering his way through a string of National Amateur Motocross titles culminating with the World Freestyle Championship at the age of 14, cementing his place as an icon in the world of motocross. Although Pastrana cut his teeth with motocross and supercross, he became legendary in the world of Freestyle Motocross (FMX). In addition to winning nine X Games gold medals in FMX, he is also credited with developing many of the sport’s most demanding tricks and continues to elevate the bar for the sport.
Pastrana gained additional worldwide fame when he landed the first ever double-backflip at X Games 12 in 2006 – the day before he won the Games’ inaugural Rally Car gold medal. He has also performed multiple record-breaking stunts, including jumping a Subaru rally car 269 feet over water on New Year’s Eve 2009, and in 2018 replicating three of Evel Knievel’s most famous motorcycle jumps in Las Vegas.
Travis is well known for his positive and unpretentious attitude, which has made him a media favorite and earned him millions of fans around the world. He is in constant demand from both corporate and endemic media and draws huge crowds wherever he goes. No matter the situation, Travis always makes time for his fans, and has been known to spend hours signing autographs in the hot sun, taking pictures with every last fan.
Beyond his prowess as an athlete, Pastrana is the co-creator and superstar of the Nitro Circus action sports franchise which includes sold-out world tours, a successful MTV TV series, feature films and the Nitro World Games, including the burgeoning Nitrocross property. Pastrana spends his time traveling the world with his wife, professional skateboarder Lyn-z Adams Hawkins and their two young daughters.

You couldn’t ask for a better name for a racecar driver than Scott Speed. (Yes, the name is real). A member of Subaru Motorsports USA since 2019, he has competed in America's Rallycross Championship (ARX) and Nitrocross (NX) and now supports the program as a top-tier driver for content development, testing and other motorsports initiatives.
Since winning the first Rallycross he entered back in 2013, Speed has cemented himself as the undisputed king of American Rallycross. He dominated the sport for years, winning three straight Red Bull GRC titles (2015-2017) and then taking the top podium spot in 2018's inaugural ARX Championship. The biggest news at the end of the 2018 ARX season was that Speed was joining Subaru for 2019 and he had his sights on earning yet another Rallycross championship.
Speed has an impressive history in racing. It started with karting at 10 years old, with his father as his coach. Speed won multiple titles during his young racing days. He eventually moved up to open-wheel racing in 2001 and won the Formula Russell title in his first try. The following year, Speed raced in the Formula Dodge National Championship and Star Mazda series and finished third and eighth, respectively.
In 2003, Speed won the Red Bull Driver Search which is similar to America’s Got Talent, but for racecar drivers. The opportunity took him outside the US for the first time and he found himself in the UK to drive in British Formula Three in order to prepare for his Formula One campaign. He was still 19. The following year he won Formula Renault 2000 Eurocup and Formula Renault 2000 Germany. By then he was comfortable in European race circuits and he moved up to GP2 series. He collected five podiums and twelve top-five finishes there.
In 2006, Speed became the first American driver to participate in a Formula One event since Michael Andretti in 1993. Speed raced for Red Bull’s Toro Rosso Formula 1 team, and spent two years in F1 before shifting his career to NASCAR.
Speed earned three poles and four wins in ARCA races in 2008. That same year, Speed ventured into the NASCAR Truck Series and won in his sixth race ever and captured the pole at Bristol Motor Speedway in his ninth start.
Speed also raced a few times in the NASCAR Nationwide Series capturing the pole in his first ever NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. He also finished in the top-10 in eight of his 13 races run in 2009. Speed soon, however, focused on the top series in NASCAR, the Sprint Cup Series. Speed sat outside the pole four times, had one top-five and three top-ten finishes in the Sprint Cup series.
In 2013 Speed began racing in the Global Rallycross Championship where he took two wins in his debut season. In 2014 he won three GRC races as well as another X Games Gold, finishing the year third in the GRC Championship points battle.
Then from 2015 to 2017 he dominated the GRC series, winning the title each year. In 2018, he continued his winning ways by winning the inaugural ARX Driver’s Championship. Speed is known as a surgeon on the track. He is very calm at the wheel of a 600-hp Rallycross beast and he rarely makes mistakes when racing. He is also a great communicator with his race machine and he can setup his car to his liking very quickly.
Speed resides in Mooresville, NC with his wife Amanda, his two daughters Juliet and Ava and his stepson, Rex. His favorite hobby is cycling.

Hailing from Shropshire, UK, Keaton Williams has been following his passion for motorsports from a very young age. He began navigating grassroots events in the UK, working his way up through the ranks. At the ripe old age of 27, he has already been rallying for 10 years.
Keaton has now competed in almost 100 events across Europe and America: with Hyundai Motorsport's Junior Driver program, the Toyota Gazoo Racing World Rally Team, and now with Subaru Motorsports USA.
Coincidentally, Keaton’s co-driver career reached a pivotal point early on when he co-drove for mountain biker and Red Bull athlete Gee Williams, making his pairing with Brandon Semenuk a return to familiar territory. Co-driving with mountain bikers seems to be a winning formula for him, as Williams navigated with Semenuk to clinch the 2022 and 2023 ARA National Championships.

Past STI Vehicles
The 2021 WRX STI represents the Subaru Tecnica International philosophy of balanced engineering – exhilarating power controlled by intuitive handling. A turbocharged SUBARU BOXER engine with a large-capacity intercooler produces 310 horsepower, 290 pound-feet of torque, and breathtaking acceleration. The yellow-finished 6-piston front and 2-piston rear Brembo brakes, quick-ratio steering, and sport-tuned suspension let you tackle the trickiest curves. For even more control, the Driver Controlled Center Differential (DCCD) uses a fully electronic control system to vary the front/rear torque distribution for quicker and smoother response. SUBARU STARLINK Multimedia with standard Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ integration provides the soundtrack.
Past STI Vehicles
2020 BRZ tS – which stands for “tuned by STI” – pushes the famed handling of the BRZ even further. The stiffened chassis and STI-developed sport suspension gives lightning-quick response and razor-sharp control. Brembo brakes offer total confidence and matte bronze-finished 18 x 7.5-inch STI alloy wheels with Michelin® Pilot® Sport summer performance tires hold fast in the corners. Cherry red accents inside and out give a subtle signal that this BRZ has some extra tricks up its sleeve.
