Subaru is back on the stages at next weekend’s Oregon Trail Rally, the fourth round of the American Rally Association (ARA) championship! A second straight victory of 2022 for Brandon Semenuk and Keaton Williams at last month’s Olympus Rally, and a strong second-place finish for teammates Travis Pastrana and Rhianon Gelsomino, place the two Subaru crews first and second overall in the American Rally Association (ARA) championship race heading into the calendar’s only three-day round. Oregon Trail’s popular Friday night super special stages at Portland International Raceway give way to two days of gravel stages north and south of the Columbia River, including Sunday’s stages on the wide-open grasslands of Oregon in the shadow of Mount Hood.
In stark contrast to the densely forested logging roads of Olympus, Oregon Trail features wide-open vistas, lots of elevation change and some of the fastest flat-out sections on the calendar. The added challenge of paved surfaces, thanks to the Friday super specials and the famous Maryhill tarmac hillclimb stage, makes Oregon Trail a true all-around test of driver, co-driver and machine.
Continuing this year’s pattern of major grassroots participation, Oregon Trail’s 85 entries sold out in less than an hour! The strong list of competitors again includes 2020 champion Barry McKenna and fan favorite Ken Block in their WRC-derived machines.

Drivers Quotes:
Travis Pastrana Car #1 Subaru WRX STI
"Really looking forward to Oregon Trail Rally. This has been one of my favorite rallies for a long time. Starting with the super special stages Friday night and then heading to some of the fastest and most flowing stages in the series. Oregon is a must win for Rhianon and me for this championship and I’ll be 100% recovered and ready to drive at max attack!"
Brandon Semenuk Car #180 Subaru WRX STI
“Doesn’t seem like long ago but we are headed back to battle it out on the wide open roads of Oregon! I wrapped up my 2021 season with a win at OTR, but I expected different conditions this year as warmer weather approaches.”
